Legal AI That Actually
Understands Contracts

Most legal AI products are search tools with a chat interface. What legal teams need is a system that understands clause context and flags risk — not one that just finds keywords faster.

What's Actually Getting in the Way

Contract review takes days when it should take hours

Associates manually read every clause — most of which are standard. The non-standard ones are buried in documents that take 3 hours to review. The risk isn't in the obvious places; it's in the paragraph nobody read carefully.

Risk clauses are getting missed

Not because your lawyers aren't good — because they're reviewing 60 agreements a month under deadline pressure. Fatigue and volume are not a quality control strategy. An AI that never gets tired reviewing clause 47 of a 90-page agreement is.

Discovery is slow and expensive

Reviewing thousands of documents in litigation or due diligence is a billable hours drain. Most of those documents are irrelevant. Identifying which 8% matter is exactly the kind of high-volume, pattern-matching work AI does well.

Matter classification is still manual

Incoming work gets routed based on whoever reads the intake email first. There's no consistency, no priority scoring, and no visibility into backlog by practice area. It's a spreadsheet problem being solved by a calendar.

//what we build

AI Systems We Build for Legal

01

Contract Analysis & Review

AI that reads contracts against your standard playbook — identifies non-standard clauses, flags deviations, and summarises risk posture so your lawyers focus on exceptions, not everything.

02

Clause Extraction & Classification

Extract key terms, payment obligations, termination rights, liability caps, and renewal dates at scale — structured output your team can act on.

03

Legal Q&A Systems

LLM-powered search across your precedent library, matter history, and internal knowledge base — find the right clause, case, or template in seconds instead of hours.

04

Document Summarisation

Reduce 100-page agreements to a two-page executive summary in minutes. Configurable summary format — highlight risk flags, key obligations, unusual terms.

05

Discovery Assistance

Rapid relevance scoring across large document sets for litigation and M&A due diligence. Surface the documents that matter without reading the ones that don't.

06

Matter Classification & Routing

Automatically categorise incoming matters by practice area, urgency, and client — and route them to the right team without manual triage.

From First Call to Production

// 01

Discover

We map your current workflows, identify where AI creates real ROI, and validate the highest-impact use case with a working prototype — usually within 2–3 weeks.

// 02

Build

We architect and build the production system: data pipelines, model integration, API layer, and UI. Milestones are visible. No black boxes.

// 03

Measure

We instrument everything — accuracy, latency, usage, and business impact. You know what the AI is doing and whether it's working. Then we iterate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is AI contract review compared to a lawyer?+

For clause extraction and deviation-from-playbook flagging on standard commercial agreements, well-trained AI hits 85–95% accuracy. For novel legal arguments, jurisdiction-specific nuance, or high-stakes negotiation strategy — that's still a lawyer's job, and should be. The right framing isn't AI vs lawyer. It's: AI handles the volume, lawyer handles the judgement.

Does the AI hallucinate legal facts or miss critical clauses?+

Hallucination is a real risk with general-purpose LLMs used for legal work. Our approach minimises it: we use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to ground the AI's responses in the actual document text, not its training data. Every clause extraction comes with a source reference. If the clause isn't in the document, the AI says so — it doesn't invent one.

How do you handle client confidentiality?+

We build with a data isolation architecture — each client's documents are processed and stored in their own environment, with no cross-contamination between matters. For law firms with strict data residency requirements, we can deploy entirely within your own cloud infrastructure. No document leaves your environment.

Can this integrate with Clio, NetDocs, or our existing document management system?+

Most legal document management systems have APIs or SFTP-based export options. We've built integrations with SharePoint, NetDocuments, and iManage. Clio has a well-documented API. If your system has an API, we can integrate with it. If it doesn't, we'll tell you early — not halfway through the project.
